We are looking for a Paralegal with relevant experience (at least 3/4 years) in marketing and advertising.
A good understanding of the CAP Code, associated marketing and advertising rules (including ASA rulings/decisions), consumer laws and data protection are required.
This position is based in our London office (Oxford Street) and you will be able to perform hybrid working, i.e., part-home / part-office, and you will be part of team of 9/10 counsels (5 in the UK, 4 in other markets).
Marketing and Consumer Law:
Reviewing marketing, ads and other promotional materials, enrolment pages, T&Cs, Privacy Policies, product websites, as well as product designs for new product launches, to check compliance with advertising rules and marketing and consumer protection laws, including data protection and e-privacy laws. Identifying key risks and working with the business to agree acceptable and compliant practices.
Monitoring marketing (both external and within own products).
Coordinating with counsels in Spain, France and the US and participating in weekly alignment meetings
Advising customer support teams on escalated customer complaints and supporting in the management of claims.
Data protection:
Advise on data protection matters relating to customer personal data and the proper processing of personal data.
Provide answers to data subject requests such as data subject access requests, data erasures and information on how we process their data and handle any queries from authorities or escalated complaints.
Help drafting Data Processing Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessments, Data Processing Agreements, Data Sharing Agreements, Transfer Impact Assessments, policies
Advise on consents and permissions.

On an ad hoc basis when there is overflow, help with the drafting and negotiation of client agreements for the purchase of advertising space or for the sale of our services and programmes to our clients’ customers.
On an ad hoc basis when there is overflow, drafting and negotiating vendor and supplier agreements (outsourcing agreements, licensing agreements, IT agreements, agreements to procure offers which we include within our programmes, etc.).
